Product Launch: Dolphicam2

DOLPHICAM2 is a revolutionary platform for ultrasound NDT. The system supports a wide range of high-resolution imaging transducers for multi-material inspections. The unique transducer technology and high-performance design creates high-resolution ultrasound images of suspected damage areas. It helps manufacturing- and service personnel to perform effective and reliable NDT to verify the status of the material.

The impressive performance of the system produces real-time live images. This gives an improved user experience and high Probability of Detection. Live streaming of full matrix datasets opens for advanced post-processing and Total Focusing, reducing minimum defect detectability to 1/10 mm. Through our FTD (Flexible Transducer Development) process, we customize transducers based on specific customer materials and other requirements. New transducers, in combination with optimized signal processing, ultrasound techniques and modified user interfaces can be delivered in weeks.

The DOLPHICAM2 can be ordered as a turnkey system with a Panasonic Toughpad Windows tablet. The system supports 1 or 2 simultaneous transducers, 1-2 encoders, Ethernet, GPIO, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. An open and well documented API together with open file formats enable 3rd parties to control the Dolphicam2 and access live images and datasets for further analysis.

Product Launch: REL UV Lamps

The REL Model C4 Nomad and Nomad-GO are UV-A Inspection Lamp utilising the latest in safe high output UV-A LED technology. This lamp is a highly manoeuvrable lightweight solution that allows operator flexibility with a rechargeable 18V battery. That maximizes operator safety and time on task. The C4 Nomad contains 4 high flux-UV LED emitters that have a built-in static-electric discharge circuit to allow the lamp to perform in all environments regardless of ambient conditions. The REL LED C4 Nomad-GO integrates both UV-A and white light emitters. The C4 Nomad and Nomad-GO are designed for all intensity requirements of Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) and Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI).

The C4 Nomad and Nomad-GO Glo-Black LED UV-A Inspection Lamp can both provide a 220mm diameter of UV-A intensity > 1000 μW/cm² at 38cm. The integral filter in the UV-A emitter limits the visible light at 20 lux at 38cm and 5 lux at 90cm. The LED white light provides an intensity > 7500 lux at 38cm. The lamp’s electrical components are sealed and passively cooled within an engineered finned housing manufactured from military grade aluminium. This allows the lamp to perform in the harshest environments.

Also New: Positest HHD High Voltage Holiday Detector

DeFelsko is excited to announce that the new PosiTest HHD High voltage Holiday Detector is now shipping. The PosiTest HHD uses pulse DC technology, offering a user-adjustable voltage range from 0.5 to 35kV for detecting holidays, pinholes and other discontinuities in coatings up to 20 mm (780 mils) thick. The versatile PosiTest HHD is ideal for use with a wide range of rolling spring and flat wire brush electrodes — custom sizes are available upon request. Alternatively, use existing electrodes with industry-standard adaptors.
